My Favorite Memories
In a previous blog post, I encouraged you to take a moment to evaluate life. For me, being away from the SPDS community has reaffirmed how much I love to be a part of this community. I am grateful for all the friendships, the people I get to meet, the honor to teach what I love, and to be able to pole and dance.
Something that is really special for me are all of our showcases. I love watching participants grow, express themselves, and interpret different themes or pieces of music. Seeing people support each other not only during the showcase night but also the months leading up to it is a beautiful thing to witness. It’s also so much fun to see people shining brightly, showing their hard work, and being loved and appreciated for who they are.
Another thing I really miss is teaching classes! While I am so grateful to be able to teach over Zoom, I miss the daily connection with others. I miss YOU!! I miss everything from the frustrations or challenges people face to the jokes and laughter. I have always felt so lucky to be able to teach, but now more so than ever.
I miss the SPDS team! While our team is staying very connected, I miss practices together, hugs between classes, and laughter or inside jokes between classes. I miss the warm beautiful energy that the team brings.
I miss dance in our beautiful space. Pole, dance and fitness has been so therapeutic for me. It has undoubtedly got me through the most difficult times in life and especially in the past two years, I have been spoiled to be able to do that in our beautiful space
What are your favorite studio memories? What are you looking forward to when coming back? While I thought this would make me a little sad to make, it’s just filled my heart with love. I feel very thankful for all the past memories and am looking forward to all the wonderful experiences ahead.
Sending big hugs and I can’t wait for the real ones when we can!
xoxo
