MEGAN (she/her) Pilates Instructor

Hello, I'm Megan and I teach Pilates! I have been teaching since January 2020 and first tried Pilates a decade previous when it was recommended to me by a health practitioner. I started with videos online and moved my limbs to and fro, but I didn't understand the why behind it. I got sidetracked by rock climbing which became my go-to method of movement; however, after years of climbing I was gaining lots of strength, but I was also often injured and my range of motion was steadily diminishing. It was time to return to my old pal Pilates to practice mindful movement.

Attending in-person Pilates classes was a game changer as I learned more about my body, what it was capable of, and how each part facilitated movement and impacted one another. After a few months I could even touch my toes! Completing my Pilates Mat teacher certification with The Lab under Chrissy Kuny was a natural progression of my Pilates journey. Being an instructor has greatly enriched my life and every class is an opportunity to connect with our bodies and each other in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.
