POLE FUNDAMENTAL LEVEL DETAILS

We have 6 Fundamental Pole Classes starting at Pole 1, work your way through to Pole 6 and into Advanced Pole. We encourage you to take pole companion classes throughout the process to build upon your pole skills.

Please speak with your instructor if you are considering progressing to the next fundamental class. It is our goal to ensure your safety and success.

 
 

BEGINNER FUNDAMENTALS

OF POLE

POLE 1

Welcome! For participants new to pole dance, or wanting to work on the beginner fundamentals of pole, this is where you will start. This enrollment term focuses on basic spins, transitions, and the artistry of pole movement.

POLE 2

This term focuses on a variety of sitting styles, different grips, headstands and experience with more challenging spins including 1 handed spins

Next Step: POLE 3

Suggested Attire: Work out clothing and bare feet. No jewelry and refrain from using lotion.

INTERMEDIATE FUNDAMENALS OF POLE

POLE 3

Intermediate fundamentals builds upon beginner skills, strength, fluidity and flexibility. You will be introduced to climbs, inversions, and intermediate spins.

POLE 4

Introduces more progressive leg hang variations, advancing in body awareness and strength.

Next Step: POLE 5

Suggested Attire: Shorts and tank top are required as skin to pole contact is now a safety requirement. As your pole technique advances so does your hem line!

PRE-ADVANCED FUNDAMENTALS OF POLE

POLE 5

The Pre-Advanced term is for the student wanting to explore the higher skill set of tricks, techniques and transitions. Within this term, you will be introduced to aerial inverts, climbs, and shoulder mounts.

Mandatory Requirements: Strong Chopper and an unassisted leg hang variation

Next Step: POLE 6.

POLE 6

Pole 6 is a continuation of Pole 5. These moves require greater strength and flexibility. Participants must be confident with executing all Pole 5 skills before registering for Pole 6.

Mandatory Requirement: Front to back splits, Strong Shoulder Mount

ADVANCED POLE FUNDAMENTALS

You may not register for this term without instructor approval. This term is for the advanced pole participant and requires a high level of strength and flexibility. We want you to feel successful throughout your pole experience; therefore, you will be required to speak with your Pole 6 instructor or the Advanced Pole Instructor prior to registering for this term.

 
 
 

SPIN POLE FUNDAMENTALS

BEGINNER SPIN POLE

In Beginner Spin Pole, you will learn the foundation for spinning pole such as creating and controlling momentum, putting combinations of moves together, and learning to explore this essential component of pole. Pole 2 Fundamentals required.

Next Step: Intermediate Spin Pole

INTERMEDIATE SPIN POLE

Introduces intermediate spins, inversions, leg hangs, intermediate combinations, and more. Beginner Spin Pole & Pole 4 required.
